History

Boundless Learning goes back to 1993 when it was founded as Pearson Online Learning Services to collaborate with educational institutions in developing online learning programs.[2]

In 2012, Pearson acquired EmbanetCompass for $650 million.[3] The acquisition allowed Pearson to expand its services in assisting colleges with the transition of their academic programs to online platforms.[4]

In 2023, Pearson Online Learning Services was separated from Pearson when it was acquired by Athena Education.[5][6][7] Following the acquisition, Pearson Online Learning Services was rebranded as Boundless Learning.[8]
