Bharat Jakat Majhi Pargana Mahal in short BJMPM is an Indian social organisation dedicated to socio education development,[1] socio philosophy development, socio economic development and socio cultural development[2] of the Santal community.[3]
Description
Bharat Jakat Majhi Pargana Mahal gained popularity in Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, West Bengal,[4] Assam of India as well as various parts of Bangladesh, Nepal, Australia, America.[5] The Majhi word means 'head of the village'. The Pargana is also a head post of the santal inhabited village. In short, this is a group of all 'Majhi', 'Godet', 'Naike', 'Pargana' and 'Paranik' of the Adivasi inhabited viilage and community around the world.[6] [7]
YouTube Channel
BJMPM is also operating a YouTube channel named Pargana Arang which is a Santali language referring to the 'Voice of Santal leading personel of the Santal tribe community'. [8] [9]
Conferences and Activities
BJMPM organises frequent conferences and seminars for the awareness of Santal tribe. The organization also organises frequent activities to draw the attention of the State as well as Central government for the upliftment of the dwindling Santal. It is also involved in the conservation of traditional culture, rural management, promotion of education in Santali Ol Chiki script from nursery to postgraduation and research level in several universities, conservation and official demand of Sari Dharam religious code for Santal tribe. It believes in worshiping Marang Buru and Jaher Ayo for the well-being of humanity.[10] [11]
