Please help me in the creation Ucodelite Article
Can you Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 15:36, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Mehzabin P S Alvi, I'm not sure how much help I can be. I think the advice in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ucodelite (2nd nomination) is basically correct. In my quick searches, I'm just not seeing any sign of WP:significant coverage in WP:reliable sources of Ucodelite. Without that, English Wikipedia has collectively decided software products shouldn't be included in the encyclopedia. Assuming it is deleted this time, it will be much more difficult for a future article if (not when) there is coverage of it. The way forward would be to find sources that meet our requirements (please make sure you read and understand them) and then create a well-sourced, non-overly promotional article and submit it via AFC. If the AFC is declined, don't try to force it into the article space.
- If you want to contribute to Wikipedia, I'd suggest find another topics on which to improve existing articles. Something like Wikipedia:Community portal or Wikipedia:Task Center may be helpful. Happy editing. Skynxnex (talk) 16:38, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response.
- I'm reaching out because there is a software program named CodeLite that can be easily confused with another program called Ucodelite. I wanted to clarify that these are two distinct software products with different features. Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:03, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- My inquiry stems from encountering software called "CodeLite" documented on Wikipedia. I couldn't locate any information regarding "Ucodelite." Given the similar naming convention, I wanted to confirm if these are distinct software programs with unique features Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:05, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Mehzabin P S Alvi They seem to be totally unrelated, yes. In my experience in the tech-sphere for products at this level, the difference between CodeLite and Ucodelite is enough to avoid most confusion on Wiki. Questions about overall confusion is outside of the realm of what might be addressed on Wiki. Skynxnex (talk) 17:07, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- They are related both are IDE's Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:24, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- If you're thinking Wikipedia should include Ucodelite stuff, go for it! Just make sure it's all good quality and fits the Wikipedia mold. Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:29, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- And i'm tired of getting declined or deleted Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:32, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- No worries if that's not your thing. Thanks for the suggestions! Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

I ask myself quite calmly why the pure truth is deleted, because what is ‘promotional content’ if you write factually, unemotionally and consisting only of the truth in the article of ‘Fort Worth’ to the section ‘Media’ that the word mark ‘The Fort Worth Press’ has been secured and the former daily newspaper ‘The Fort Worth Press’ has been revived and is published daily in 5 languages, around the clock, seven days a week? Well, you have to have a lot of authority of your own and consider yourself important if you suppress the truth, dear ‘’‘Skynxnex’‘’ you should think about that in peace, because the truth should not be suppressed and to use a flimsy reason ‘inappropriate advertising’, well that is factually and calmly said, a bad style! I recommend that you take an unemotional look here and convince yourself of the truth: https://www.TheFortWorthPress.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.187.114.241 (talk • contribs) 10:47, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, a website using the name of the previous newspaper would probably be WP:DUE a brief mention if you can find a decent source actually talking about. Looking back at what you added, just needs to be not overlinked (that is, you wiki linked words like clock, which we don't normally do here) and simpler description. Skynxnex (talk) 10:59, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Good evening from Europe Skynxnex! Well, I think YAHOO FINANCE is a serious document, so here is just one article of many: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fort-worth-press-reports-legal-194700775.html
- Yes, and it may be right, maybe you don't link everything, but it can't be a shame either and you're not right about one thing, it's not just an ‘old newspaper’ that has been revived, it's also the trademark rights ‘The Fort Worth Press’ - YOU can see them here = https://euipo.europa.eu/eSearch/#details/trademarks/018929834 -- so it's still a pity that the addition to the article and the WO is ONLY ABOUT KNOWLEDGE, was simply deleted! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:8106:23:d00:6858:23a8:8b23:5b37 (talk • contribs) 16:37, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, I suggest reading Wikipedia:Signatures and perhaps signing up for an account.
- For Fort Worth, feel free to suggest language on Talk:Fort Worth, Texas and other editors can help (or maybe the WP:Teahouse). I'm not an expert on there and I'm not stopping you from re-adding something improved. I'll say that Yahoo! link you just shared looks like basically a press release/ad for the website so isn't really a reliable source (Yahoo has those in some of their sections). Skynxnex (talk) 17:27, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- But will ask since it seems like you've added similar content about Heit and newspaper brands he's acquired in quite a few articles. I'd suggest reading WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide to make sure you're complying with the rules here. Skynxnex (talk) 17:31, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
Fixed?
Hey there, I got your email. Would you check to see if that solved the problem you asked about? Joyous! Noise! 14:21, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Joyous! Yes, I think it probably does well enough. The rest will fade into the mist. Thanks. Skynxnex (talk) 14:24, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
I got your message; I'm not presently in a position to carry that out, could you email WP:OVERSIGHT? 331dot (talk) 14:51, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- Looks like you're all set? 331dot (talk) 14:51, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- @331dot I've emailed oversight. There ended up being multiple ones. Thanks for the assistance. Skynxnex (talk) 14:57, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Hannah Ryder page reviewed
I received a wikipedia message that Hannah Ryder page has been reviewed. I got a message that it's moved to draftspaces from another usertalk . Gold Junior (talk) 08:38, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Gold Junior, the reason I marked the page as review is purely a technical one: since it was nominated at WP:Articles for deletion, the community will decide if the page should be kept or not so I "reviewed" it so other WP:New page patrolers won't have to consider it. It looks like, yes, there was an earlier version of the article you created that was WP:Draftified and then deleted. I see you're taking part in the AFD discussion, which is good. I'd suggest that if you can find it, presenting the three "best" sources (so the ones most clearly independent of the subject, reliable, and in-depth) in the AFD. Let me know if you have any other questions. Skynxnex (talk) 12:50, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- someone has already presented multiple sources with coverage of the subject in the AFD. thanks Gold Junior (talk) 13:47, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- How do I declare I have no COI to do with this article? Gold Junior (talk) 14:32, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not an expert on WP:conflict of interest matters. I'm not sure if there's anything productive to do during the duration of the AFD nomination, so discussion probably should primarily be there or on your talk page? I don't quite understand the timeline with the article now at AFD and the draftication/deletion of an article with the same title. Skynxnex (talk) 15:00, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- there was no consensus on the AFDDiscussion group on the Hannah Ryder article . it was relisted for clearer consensus and through discussion. what happens during and after this relist? thanks Gold Junior (talk) 07:20, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Gold Junior Relisted AFDs are generally kept open for new discussion for 7 days (although can be closed by an experienced, uninvolved editor at any time of consensus is clear). AFDs are normally relisted up to three times. I'll note that it's expected that editors who !voted before the relist do not do so again after the relist. So I'd suggest WP:STRIKEing the literal "keep" in your most recent comment. It's fine to add additional comments as long as it doesn't reach what reasonable editors might see as WP:BLUDGEONing the AFD. Skynxnex (talk) 13:30, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- done the Strikethrough as you suggested. I'm waiting to see how it goes because Relisted Gold Junior (talk) 02:10, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- what happens if there is no participation in this relist as we await consensus??
- have you read the edited article since the nomination? Obviously, the article is not deletable in its current form from the Wikipedia policy! Gold Junior (talk) 11:40, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Gold Junior It may be relisted again. But whenever an experienced closer (probably an WP:administrator at this point) decides they can read the consensus based on policy, they can close it (so decide if it should be kept, deleted, or no consensus, which means it's easier for another deletion discussion to occur in the future). I honestly have not looked at the article much; my impression is that it's bordering on the edge of notability.
- And I'm not going to opine on COI or not, but the level of sustained attention you've given this article is normally a red flag. Article writing at Wikipedia can be hard and so it's normally best to get a bit more experience before you write one. I may or may not add anything to the AFD since I don't have a good grasp of what sources in this space are considered reliable. Skynxnex (talk) 13:14, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- the most attention should go to the merit of keeping or deleting, and the best place to look at is the edited article since nomination, the notability of this article since AFD . I just read about the unintended consequences of activating the relist process which neither keeps nor deletes a AFD article Gold Junior (talk) 14:54, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- an editor relisted the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hannah Ryder article. please read through the article and pass comments if you can. read sources too. Gold Junior (talk) 05:54, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

Very odd Westinghouse Electric Corporation move
Re User talk:Merv Mat#What are you doing with DC and related pages?, this user also moved Westinghouse Electric Corporation to CBS Corporation (1886-2000)[1] without discussion or rational. It needs a revert. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 20:04, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Fountains of Bryn Mawr I don't disagree. I don't have that much knowledge of the exact history of CBS in that era but I think moving back (to revert) the page moves would be fine and if you don't feel comfortable doing that, there's a spot in the technical move request page to request such moves: Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests#Requests to revert undiscussed moves, as I'm not sure I'll choose to spend my time figuring out this particular thing. Skynxnex (talk) 20:10, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Articles nominated for deletion
Hi mate, I noticed you put out three nominations for deletions on my articles on Sin Tae-song, Yu Kwang-jun, and Choe Ok-chol. Why?
I understand Choe Ok-chol's due to there not being much information on his page but so is the case for many North Korean footballers. Sin Tae-song and Yu Kwang-jun had enough sources in correspondence to the DPRK's secrecy and I did my best to dig up as much info I can find. Why were those two nominated for deletion? C18ver (talk) 05:16, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @C18ver, I only marked the pages as "reviewed" as a technical action so they would be removed from the WP:New pages patrol feed since they've been nominated at AFD so the community will review them now (see WP:NPPDEL to be specific).
- I believe that Simione001 (talk) nominated those articles for deletion. I'd suggest perhaps reading Wikipedia:How to save an article nominated for deletion and then engaging on the AFDs. Skynxnex (talk) 05:26, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- Cheers mate, thanks for the clarification. Have a good day. C18ver (talk) 05:32, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Thank you
Just noticed you added my nomination of an AfD to a bunch of sorting lists - I don't really know how to edit Wikipedia that well and wouldn't have known how to do that, so that was a big help, thanks. JustAPoliticsNerd (talk) 04:01, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

Reverting of the .pyc message on the Python Article
So I would like say, there are 2 articles that are the same name, and I would like to ask, why did you delete the message!? Now that one article can't be reached easily. Also what the heck does afaik mean!?Robloxguest3 (talk) 00:07, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Robloxguest3, afaik is As Far As I Know.
- Looking again, apologies I hadn't realized the TLD article seems to be using one of using unicode cyrillic characters that look identical to Latin? So .pyc and .рус are different pages. I'll have to look at how we normally handle that when I'm back at a computer; but I still think it's unlikely we'll want a WP:Hatnote for that TLD at the language article. More likely redirect both .pycs to the PYC disambiguation page and disambiguate them. That may take discussion, perhaps. Skynxnex (talk) 00:22, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- okay thanks! I am working to get the name of the TLD article changed to .pyc (Internet TLD) to stop confusion. Again thanks for the suggestion! Robloxguest3 (talk) 00:35, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
