The 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup final will be the final match of the upcoming 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, an international club football tournament. It is the first final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, a FIFA-organised tournament between the club champions from each of the six continental confederations, which serves as the annual successor to the FIFA Club World Cup, which transitioned to being held once every four years with more participants.[1]
The match is scheduled to take place at a neutral venue on 18 December 2024 between Real Madrid, the winners of the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League, and the last remaining play-off contender from the other five confederations, [2]
Route to the final
As the winners of the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid qualified directly for the final of the tournament.[1] The other finalist will be the winner of the Intercontinental Cup play-off which is scheduled on 14 December 2024.
