The King Blues
Itch is one of the two founder members of The King Blues, he plays uke and sings in The King Blues. He was previously in a band called Ramraid the Offy with fellow band mate Jamie Jazz. Itch is known for his work in the King Blues, on protests and with Love Music Hate Racism. The King Blues have been getting more famous as the release of their new album draws closer and closer, they are appearing in Kerrang a lot, they have been Zane Lowe's hottest record a couple of weeks ago. Itch has recently been in Kerrang with his "Road Rules", and "Inside the mind of Itch" on top of the King Blues interviews. Though it is best not to forget the way the king blues use to be, before all of the attention from the media, Itch and Jamie started the band together and not many take them seriously, a acoustic-punk-ska duo. They tried to get gigs but found it hard and the duo started to help set up squats across London, they slowly become bigger and got more fans. Itch spends hours writing for The King Blues and puts a lot of work in to it. He writes about many things that are true to his heart. Itch and Jamie preach one love, Hope, Peace and soul together.
A bit about his life
Itch was brought up by his mum in London, he started smoking at the age of 9 and when he was a teenager he got chucked out of his home on to the streets. Itch was thrown a lifeline by The Big Issue and since then he has been trying to help others who are in a similar situation as to what he was, for example The King Blues Big Issue tour early last year.
Itch is known to have lived in many squats over the years and has helped set up several. Itch has spent a lot of time living in Hackney, London and is very proud of the fact he is a Londoner. By opening up squats Itch, Jamie and the King Blues were taken more seriously and even with getting bigger Itch still supports and helps open squats.
Itch took up uke when one was bought as a gift from Jamie for his birthday, Itch soon picked it up as it is an easy instrument to take around and play as it is so small, he could practice in the van and when ever he had time.
Itch has many morals that he sticks to and has many beliefs. Itch is a punk and an anarchist at heart, forever protesting and fighting for what he believes is right. Itch spends hours writing and preparing songs, poems and speeches so they say exactly what he wants to say.
Itch is good friends with lead singer of Enter Shikari, Rou, and has recently been on tour with him. They have been seen in popular music magazine, kerrang together where Itch described them as "lovers" but Rou stated they where merely "Bezzy mates". Rou has been seen out with Itch when The King Blues have been protesting with the sound system.
Itch is to become a dad within the next few weeks as it was announced to many unhappy yet congratulating fans when The King Blues apologised for pulling out of Slam Dunk.
