Plăieşii de Jos (Template:Lang-ro; Template:Lang-hu) is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. It lies in the Székely Land, an ethno-cultural region in eastern Transylvania, and comprises 5 villages:
- Casinu NouKászonújfalu
- Iacobeni/Kászonjakabfalva
- Imper/Kászonimpér
- Plăieşii de Jos
- Plăieşii de Sus/Kászonfeltíz
Demographics
The commune has an absolute Székely (Hungarian) majority. According to the 2002 census it has a population of 2,979 of which 81.6% or 2,431 are Hungarian.
