Jan Stanisław Sapieha

Jan Stanisław Sapieha (Template:Lang-lt) (1589–1635) was a Polish-Lithuanian noble, starost of Słonim, Court Marshal of Lithuania from 1617, Great Lithuanian Marshal from 1621.

Son of Lew Sapieha. Studied abroad. Friend and supporter of prince and later king Władysław IV Waza. Deputy to many Sejms, took part in the Polish-Swedish wars, but gained a reputation as a weak tactician, suffering several defeats. Near the end of his life had mental health problems, but his friend the king allowed him to remain at the royal court till his last days.
