Patrice Yengo

Patrice Yengo is a political anthropologist living and teaching in Paris, France. Born in Pointe-Noire in Congo-Brazzaville in 1949. He studied pharmacology in Kharkov in the Ukraine and in Paris before he returned to the Congo. He has taught pharmacology at the University of Congo Brazzaville, Marien Ngouabi. Patrice Yengo later received a doctorate in Political Anthropology at the EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) in Paris and obtained his Habilitation in anthropology in 2007. He is also the Directing Editor of the series, Rupture-Solidarité. He has taught at various universities in Paris and has also been a fellow at the Institut for Advanced Studies in Nantes, France.

His major works include: Le venin dans l'encrier, Les conflits du Congo-Brazzaville, au miroir de l'écrit (Paari, 2009) La guerre civile du Congo-Brazzaville 1993-2002, Chacun aura sa part (Paris: Karthala, 2006).
