L'Alliance républicaine, écologique et sociale

The Alliance or Alliance républicaine, écologique et sociale (ARES), is a french confederacy of centrism & right-centrism.

In order to be a real political force between socialists and liberals & conservatives, the aim of this party is to take the empty place occupied by the former UDF (Union pour la démocratie française) on the political chessboard.

Actually, this movement represented a real major part of french people's sensibility. Indeed, the UDF won the presidential elections of 1974 (cf Valéry Giscard d'Estaing), and the UDF candidate made 18,57 % of the voices at the présidential elections of 2007.

This confederacy is built around the Nouveau centre (NC), the Gauche Moderne(LGM), the Parti Radical (PRV), the Convention Démocrate, & the Alliance centriste.
