Dancehall Queens are female celebrities in the musical genre called Dancehall. From their beginnings in the 1970s they have always been the center attraction.[1] In 1992 a Dancehall Queen emerged who would become the most known because of her ten year reign in the Dancehall.[2] Her name is Dancehall Queen Carlene. She was most noted for her erotic styles and sensuous moves. Dancehall Queen Stacey who proceeded after Dancehall Queen Carlene is remembered for her flawless acrobatic moves. [3]
Dancehall Queen Fashion
Dancehall Queen fashion has inspired many celebrities one of which is Rihanna [4] Rihanna in the video Rude Boy (song) went back to her Caribbean roots.[5] The Dancehall Queen culture originated in Jamaica but has spread to different parts of the Caribbean.[6]
