Pablo Larraín Matte (born 19 August 1976) is a Chilean film director and screenwriter. He has directed three feature films and co-directed one TV series.[1] His latest film No was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival[2][3] where it won the Art Cinema Award.[4] The film has also been nominated for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards.[5]
Larraín was born in Santiago, Chile. He is the son of former Minister of Housing & Urban Development Magdalena Matte and senator and Independent Democrat Union president, Hernán Larraín.
