Just a message to let you know that the image has been restored [:File:Goldfields Pipeline SMC.JPG]. Bidgee (talk) 13:46, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that was fast nitification service from Bidgee ;) For the future, if you enaible e-mail you could tick "e-mail me when my talk page is changed" in your preferences at Commons. Images are often tagged and uploaders notified automagically, and in such cases the would-be notifier will not see your message at the Commons user page. Hey Sean, long time no speak. Image is now in the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme article, FYI. –Moondyne 09:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps invitation

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Reflist

There is a good reason for tagging articles without references. but please do not create empty reference sections, because they look ugly. And use {{Unreferenced}}, to which {{Unsourced}} is a redirect anyway. And please take into account to write names of months in full, to avoid error messages. Sorry for telling you so many "what to do's", but I am sure that you want to do it right. Sincerely, Debresser (talk) 18:12, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There were some 7-8 articles like this I fixed yesterday. See e.g.Wang Xiaobo. Debresser (talk) 05:45, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
A few points here. No problem using full month names although I'm not sure what errors you refer to? The normal 3 letter short form of months are all unique, no biggie though. I had a look for MOS advice on empty sections and didn't see anything to the contrary. There is a little bit on section expansion templates that seems to suggest that an expansion template is fine inside an empty section. My logic was always to include the section with the reflist template for those who don't know about this. There used to be common practise of including a comment to a page describing how to use the ref tags but that doesn't seem to happen any more. I also tended to include the cleanup tag inside empty reference section as I thought that was slightly less "ugly" than putting it at the top and was to me consistent with a section tag, although I'm happy enough to change the way I do this - can you point me to any MOS info or discussions with consensus on this type of edit? Lastly - good point about the template redirect I'll bear that in mind. Cheers. SeanMack (talk) 04:24, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello SeanMack! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 41 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Saritah - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

April 2010 GAN backlog elimination drive

WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of April. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 200. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. Hope we can see you in April.

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:32, 19 June 2010 (UTC) [reply]

Comment on photographs

Hello Sean, I was looking into Dasyurids and came across one of your pics of a Spotted Quoll (or Chuditch) at Caversham Wildlife Park. Just wandered on from there and looked at your other pics. Good work, nice pics, good of you to share them to assist others. Have a great day. MarieM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.207.16.150 (talk) 04:08, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)

Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.

If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Thank-you. 13:34, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

Update for: WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)

Sorry for having to send out a second message but a user has brought to my attention that a point mentioned in the first message should be clarified. If user's don't sign on this page, they will be moved to an "Inactive Participants" list rather then be being removed from the entire WikiProject. Sorry for any confusion.--Dom497 (talk)15:23, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Good Articles - Participant Clean-up (Second Call)

You are reciving this message because you have not added your name to the list of active WikiProject Good Articles participants. Though you may have recived the first message sent out in September, some users may have had that message archived before coming online to read it and therefore never saw it. If you are deeming yourself inactive with the WikiProject please disregard this message as your name will be moved to an "inactive participant" list at the end of the clean-up. If you are still active with the WikiProject, please be sure to include your name on this list. The current deadline to add your name to the list (if you are still active) is November 1, 2012. A third and final message will be sent out during the last week of the clean-up before the deadline. Thank-you.--EdwardsBot

The article Darren McCauley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Exploded piechart of Hepatitis C infection by source based on CDC data.

Hi Sean,

I am trying to create a Polish version of the article about Hepatitis C. The English version uses your file but of course it's with headings in English. I would like to use the file but need to change the headings into Polish ones. Would you be so kind and advise me how to do it? I saw there are already Italian and Arabic versions so I assume it's possible to work on the file, isn't it? I would be grateful for your help.

Best regards, Katarzyna — Preceding unsigned comment added by KatSorWit (talkcontribs) 16:04, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your help. I did create my own piechart, however, it does not look very professional... Main problem is with the size and centralising. I used Inkspace for it but I'm not sure how to format the picture. I will need to work on it still. Hopefully, I will be more succesfull next time. Best regards, Katarzyna
