The Town of Wynnum is a former local government area of Queensland, Australia, located in eastern Brisbane adjacent to Moreton Bay.

History

The Kianawah Division was established in 4 Jan 1888 but was renamed Wynnum Division on .[1]

In 1902, the Local Authorities Act 1902 replaced all Divisions with Towns and Shires, creating the Shire of Wynnum on 31 Mar 1903.[1][2]

On 31 Nov 1912, it was proclaimed the Town of Wynnum.[2][3]

In 1925, it was amalgamated into the City of Brisbane.[3]
