DC Animated Movie Universe is a term used for series of animated films based on The New 52 continuity.[1] The universe was introduced in Justice League: War.[2] These films are part of DC Universe Animated Original Movies but doesn't share continuity with ofilms outside of the DC Animated Movie Universe.[3]

Released Films

Justice League: War

War was released on February 4, 2014. The film is based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's "Origin" storyline. It features the voice talents of Jason O'Mara as Batman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham as Flash, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Astin as Shazam, Steven Blum as Darkseid, and Rocky Carroll as Dr. Silas Stone.[4] It is the first film in the DC Animated Movie Universe.[5] The film depicts an invasion of Earth by the alien Darkseid and the subsequent formation of the titular superhero team to counter it, which includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg and Shazam. A stand-alone sequel, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, was released in January 2015. A mid credits scene at the end of the movie alludes to Justice league: Throne of Atlantis.

Son of Batman

The film was released on 22 April 2014. It is an adaptation of Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert's 2006 Batman and Son storyline.[6] It follows Batman and his son Damian Wayne who bebcomes the new Robin. Deathstroke is the antagonist of the film.

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

The film is based on the 2012 storyline of the same name by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis. The film focuses primarily on Arthur Curry as he becomes the superhero Aquaman and a member of Justice League. The film was released digitally on January 13, 2015, and physically on January 27, 2015.

Batman vs. Robin

The film was released for downloading on April 7, 2015 and was released on Blu-ray and DVD formats on April 14, 2015. The film featres the Court of Owls as the villains.[7]

Batman: Bad Blood

The film was released digitally on January 20, 2016 and on physical media on February 2, 2016. It features a original story not adapted from comics. It introduces characters of Batwoman and Batwing to the universe.[8][9]

Justice League vs. Teen Titans

It premiered at WonderCon, March 25–27, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It introduces Teen Titans to the series.[10]

Upcoming Films

Justice League: Dark

An adaptation of Justice League Dark where the titular group will unite to deal with magical threats that the Justice League wouldn't often handle. The Justice League will also have new members with them.[11]

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

It will be based on comic book The Judas Contract. It will be released in spring 2017.[12]
