Geoffrey James is an American author, journalist, and contributing editor on Inc.com. His blog/column,[1] Sales Source, was ranked on Business.com's list of the "Top 10 Blogs on Sales Management for 2016."[2]

Writing

James is the author of nine books on computer programming and business. His most recent book, Business Without the Bullsh*t: 49 Secrets and Shortcuts You Need to Know (Hachette, 2014) received a good review on from Publishers Weekly,[3] which also lauded his 1996 book, Business Wisdom of the Electronic Elite: 34 Winning Management Strategies from CEOs at Microsoft, COMPAQ, Sun, Hewlett-Packard, and Other Top Companies, noting that James "mounts a persuasive case that the elite companies' greatest legacy may be their new business culture."[4] James's writing has appeared in CNN.com,[5] Computerworld,[6] Wired,[7] and other notable print and online magazines. His column Sales Source on Inc.com, was formerly published on CBSNews.com's BNET as Sales Machine, where it won a silver Digital Azbee award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors in 2009[8] and a Best in Business award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) in 2006.[9]
