Hi. As you can see by the title of this page, I am Monteyaga, an autopatrolled user and editor of the Super Mario Wiki. I am here for the sole purpose of contributing to the wiki the most I can, making some friends along the way. I created my account in December 10 2017, but I used to read the wiki's articles long before that. The reason why I didn't create an account earlier was simply because I didn't find a reason to do so, since I felt that the wiki didn't need any additional help; however, after some months, I started to stumble upon some badly written articles, with bad grammar, typos and mistakes in coding, etc. So, I decided it would be a good idea to have an account so that I could fix these mistakes and work with the community as a whole to help improve the wiki. In the begginning, my edits were not that great, and that is mainly due to the fact that I am brazilian, so, quite obviously, english is not my first language; however, as time passed by, I have improved a lot on my english abilities, and now I can write in english with almost no problems.

Now, about me, I am a 18 years old boy, and I love video games; my favorite franchise is obviously the Mario series, although I also love the Kirby and Zelda series. I live in Rio Grande do Sul, a state in Brazil, and more specifically, in the city of Gramado. I used to live in the city of Porto Alegre, but we moved from there when I was 10 years old. The first Mario game I played was Super Mario World, and it really got me into the Mario franchise. I played it in my friend's house, and I was so addicted to it, that I eventually got a Super Nintendo along with a copy of the game. Some years later, I got a Nintendo 64, along with a copy of Mario Kart 64. Unfortunately, I never owned a Nintendo GameCube, but I did play its games on my friend's house (yes, the same friend where I played the Super NES games). Currently, I own a Nintendo 64, a Nintendo DS, a Wii and three Nintendo 3DS game consoles... well, let me explain that: in the middle of 2011, I won the lottery here in my city, when my bad luck finally decided to give me a break. With a small part of the money, I decided to buy a brand new Nintendo 3DS for my best friend, Ultra Koopa, and I planned on sending it to him, since he lives in the not-so-far-away state Paraná. Unfortunately, his mother didn't allow me to send it, since she thought I would send a bomb or something like that. However, I had already bought a 3DS for me, and as such, I got to keep the two 3DS game consoles. Funnily, in my last birthday, I got a Nintendo 3DS XL, so now, I have three 3DS consoles.

That is pretty much all you need to know about me.
