Luka Menalo (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [lûːka měnalo]; born 22 July 1996) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a winger for 1. HNL club Dinamo Zagreb and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Club career

Early career

Menalo was born in Split but grew up in Čapljina[2] where he started his professional career at the local club.[3] Later he transferred to Široki Brijeg in the summer of 2014.[4] He scored on his debut in a 3–5 loss to Čelik Zenica.[5]

In his last two seasons with Široki Brijeg, Menalo was voted the best young player of the league.[6]

Dinamo Zagreb

On 13 February 2018, Menalo signed with Dinamo Zagreb until June 2023, but he was immediately loaned back to Široki Brijeg until the end of the season.[7]

International career

Menalo has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on various youth levels.[8]

He received first senior call-up for friendly games against United States and Mexico in January 2018.[9] He debuted in a goalless draw against former on 28 January.[10]
