Ghaath is a 2000 Indian Bollywood crime drama film directed by Akashdeep and produced by Kumar Mohan. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Tabu and Om Puri in pivotal roles and actress Raveena Tandon in a special appearance.

Production

This was the first film in which Khan and Kher appeared together.[1] Initially, Akashdeep was not pleased with Khan's acting and was planning to replace him. It was on the insistence of Bajpayee that Akashdeep retained him.[2] Bajpayee was acting with Khan for the first time.[3]

Soundtrack

The music for the soundtrack is composed by Anu Malik excepting one instrumental track by Salim–Sulaiman.[4] Lyrics are written by Sameer.

Ronjita Das of Rediff.com opined that the film's music had "nothing to remember".[5]

Reception

In her review for Rediff.com, Ronjita Das noted that Johnny Lever had been totally wasted in the film.[5][6]

According to the Indian film trade website Box Office India, the film was made at an estimated budget of 3.75 crore (US$450,000) and had a worldwide gross of 3.92 crore (US$470,000), earning the label "disaster".[7]
