The 2020 Nicky Rackard Cup is the 16th staging of the Nicky Rackard Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It is the fourth tier[1] of senior inter-county hurling as of 2020.

Donegal were the 2018 champions and were promoted to the 2019 Christy Ring Cup as a result of the restructuring of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.

Warwickshire were supposed to compete in the championship but didn't due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland. The championship was scheduled to begin in May 2020; however, the competition was postponed until October 2020
