Discussions about scholars or academics which fall under WP:PROF are actually trickier than usual to assess — PROF allows for the conferral of notability on standards quite different from the depth of coverage about the person, such as how widely cited they are in other works by their peers or followers. So I actually try not to weigh in on PROF discussions very much, to be honest, because in that field a person can attain notability without technically having any of the kind of in-depth sources I would look for in an article about a writer or an actor or a musician or a film director. It's not that your standards are necessarily wrong in principle — for most articles about people, we do require sources that analyze or write about the person in more depth — but when it comes to academics in particular, that kind of sourcing isn't always available at all so the notability standards are designed to assess the impact of their work rather than the presence or absence of biographical literature. Thank you Bearcat, this is very helpful. — Ad Meliora Talk∕Contribs 15:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
Trond Kvist moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Trond Kvist, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thank you, Mccapra. As the edit summary says, I was just seeding the page, with an intention to return over the weekend with more content and citations. But starting in Draft space is a better way to go about it — Ad Meliora Talk∕Contribs 19:10, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

RfCs
Hi, generally an WP:RfC is opened to get official consensus on a specific question that has been generally discussed. You're probably going to get some criticism for poorly-formed RfCs. A good RfC opens with a succinct, neutral question. Look at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/All and notice how the RfCs are worded. Yours are more "I'd like to talk about this with other editors", which isn't really how RfCs are used. Personally, I suggest you remove the RfC trappings and just start discussions. Discussion about First Lady and Second Gentleman-designate titles in infoboxes of Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff
Please join a discussion here regarding whether the terms "First Lady of the United States Designate" and "Second Gentleman of the United States Designate" should be in the infoboxes of Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff, spouses of the president-elect and vice president-elect, respectively. We need to come to a consensus. Thank you for your participation. cookie monster (2020) 755 21:25, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
