André Nagalli de Oliveira (born 21 December 1997), known professionally as Nagalli, is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, beatmaker, and music produce.[1]

Early life

Nagalli was born in Piracicaba, São Paulo, in 1997. From a young age, he was influenced by music, particularly by his father, José Roberto, known as Betinho, who encouraged him to explore his musical creativity.[1]

Musical career

Nagalli began his musical career working as a producer at a record label. In 2021, he decided to start his own label, Supernova Entertainment, to have more creative freedom and innovate within the trap scene in Brazil. His work with the label quickly gained attention, especially through collaborations with artists such as Veigh, L7NNON, Alexandre Reis, Kayblack, MC Cabelinho, TZ da Coronel, and Vulgo FK.[2] The label became a symbol of the new wave of Brazilian trap, fostering an environment where new talents could thrive.[3]

In 2024, Nagalli released his debut album, Magic Show,[4] which debuted in the Spotify Global Top 10 Albums. The album amassed over 150 million streams in less than three months, solidifying his position as one of the most-listened-to producers in Brazil, with over 8 million monthly listeners and 4 billion streams across various digital platforms.[5][6]

Appearances

Nagalli performed at Rock in Rio 2024,[10] where he brought trap music to the Supernova Stage. He closed out the second night of the festival. The event not only marked the presence of trap music on one of the world's biggest stages but also showcased the unity of the scene with a lineup dedicated to the genre.[11]

In interviews, Nagalli has expressed the importance of trap music today, stating that the genre has become one of the leading musical currents in Brazil. He believes that the inclusion of trap in major festivals like Rock in Rio is mutually beneficial for both the artists and the organizers, demonstrating the genre's relevance and strength.[12]

As a producer, Nagalli is known for his innovative approach and desire to reshape the way trap is produced in Brazil. He has brought a new style to Supernova Entertainment,[13] creating an environment that fosters collaboration and creativity among artists. His vision and strategy helped Veigh reach the top of global charts with the album "Dos Prédios Deluxe", showcasing the impact of his production on the music scene.[14]
