The contents of the Western Standard page were merged into Ezra Levant on April 29, 2021. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.
This article was nominated for deletion on 17 April 2021. The result of the discussion was merge.
This article is written in Canadian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, centre, travelled, realize, analyze) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Recreated the article
I have WP:Boldlyrecreated this article. It was previously merged into Ezra Levant following this deletion discussion. That seems problematic because Levant is not the current owner. He ran it until 2007 at which time it ceased publication. Its current iteration is the result of a relaunch in 2019 by Derek Fildebrandt. Since then it has opened numerous bureaus, published thousands of articles and obtained government "Qualified Canadian Journalism Organization" status. Anyway, it seems it now should have its own article.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 01:09, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Podcasting
I'm still not convinced this article is relevant to the Podcasting WikiProject. The New York Times, BBC, and ABC all produce podcasts, but none of them are included in the project. Simply creating a podcast doesn't make it notable or worth mentioning and currently there is no prose dedicated to the discussion of podcasts produced by Western Standard and there are no reliable secondary sources discussing their existence.
