Summary

Description
English: Ingredients and tools used in mayonnaise sauce (teapot is optional) "mahonesa" made in Mahón (in the Balearic Islands, Mediterranean Sea, Spain). It is made with a glass of olive oil and an egg (yolk+white), and seasoned with a pinch of salt and some drops of lemon juice or vinegar. To make 'mahonesa' sauce, we put the egg and salt in the mortar and we drop little by little the olive oil (we use the special glass botle of the photo) with one hand whereas we stir with the other hand to make an emulsion. Finaly we can add citron juice or vinegar. We can use a mixer instead of the traditional mortar.
Català: Ingredients per a fer la mahonesa clàssica catalana: oli d'oliva, ou, une gotes de llimona (o vinagre) i sal. També es pot apreciar el morter on es fa tradicionalment (tot i que també es pot fer amb batidora o amb un sifó a l'actualitat) i el setrill per a tirar l'oli poc a poc.
