DescriptionNational liberation skirt, 4 May 1946.JPG
English: National liberation skirt. At first triangle is embroidered: 4 May 1946, because the creator experienced this as a liberation day; there is a piece of parachute fabric from September 1944. These skirts were widely produced in the Netherlands after the second world war to commemorate liberation. The dates of successive victory day celebrations during which the skirt was worn were embroidered on the border.
Photographed in the collection of the National Liberation Museum 1944-1945, the Netherlands, archive number 3.2.244.
