orange print of windmills + factory and text ‘We zijn er nog niet, maar we komer er wel’ (we’re not there yet but we’ll get there), These skirts were widely produced in the Netherlands after the second world war to commemorate liberation. The dates of successive victory day celebrations during which the skirt was worn were embroidered on the border. Photographed in the collection of the National Liberation Museum 1944-1945, the Netherlands, archive number 3.2.6.Nederlands: Nationale feestrok; registratie Nationaal Instituut stempel 1947; dubbellaags, lint met oranje opdruk, data in zoom, lint 'We zijn er nog niet, maar we komen er wel'.
