Deutsch: Ulmer Münster, Buntglasfenster Das Jüngste Gericht in der Bessererkapelle (Südfenster), von Hans Acker um 1430, Werkstatt: Hans Acker, Ulm; Stifter: Familie Besserer, Ulm - Bildbeschreibung: dieses Fenster (Südfenster) gehört neben den fünf Fenstern im kleinen Chor zu einem Zyklus, der das Heilsgeschehen aus dem Alten und dem Neuen Testament darstellt – von oben nach unten und links nach rechts sind dargestellt: im Maßwerk: Engel mit den Passionswerkzeugen, darunter in der Mandorla Christus seine Wunden zeigend, links und rechts neben ihm Apostel, wobei der rechte Apostel ein Selbstbildnis Hans Ackers sein könnte, unter Christus Maria und Petrus, links neben ihnen geistliche Würdenträger und rechts weltliche Würdenträger, die kleiner dargestellten Würdenträger stellen die irdische Zone dar, links angeführt vom Papst, rechts vom Kaiser – die Scheiben ganz unten: links werden die Seligen von Engeln empfangen, in der Mitte blasen Engel auf Posaunen zum Gericht, die Gräber öffnen sich, die Toten erwachen, rechts werden die Verdammten in den Höllenrachen geholt; (Quelle: Erhard John, „Die Glasmalereien im Ulmer Münster“, Langenau / Ulm 2007, Seite 33 bis 35)
English: Ulm/Germany: Ulm Minster, Stained glass window The Last Judgment in the Besserer Chapel (south window), by Hans Acker around 1430, workshop: Hans Acker, Ulm; donor: Besserer family, Ulm - picture description: this window (south window) belongs, along with the five windows in the small choir, to a cycle depicting the salvation events from the Old and New Testaments - from top to bottom and left to right are depicted: in the tracery: Angels with the tools of the Passion, below them in the mandorla Christ showing his wounds, to the left and right of him apostles, the right apostle could be a self-portrait of Hans Acker, below Christ Mary and Peter, to the left of them spiritual dignitaries and to the right secular dignitaries, the dignitaries depicted smaller represent the earthly zone, led on the left by the Pope, on the right by the Emperor - the panes at the bottom: on the left the blessed are received by angels, in the center angels blow on trumpets for judgment, the tombs open, the dead awake, on the right the damned are taken to the infernal abyss; (source: Erhard John, "Die Glasmalereien im Ulmer Münster", Langenau / Ulm 2007, pages 33 to 35)
