this map has lot of mistakes. For example Czechoslovakia´s split of wasn´t due to Cold War. The red color in the fist map also may confuse someone, because it looks like if USSR´s border ends in Central Europe.

Yes the red is a little confusing. At first (til I read the above comment) I though the map was saying that Czechoslovakia and East Germany were part of the USSR. I see now that it's not but labelling the former Yugoslavia as red is also confusing. They were not allied with the Soviet Union during the cold war but were part of the group of non-alligned nations. But I suppose the split in Yugoslavia only came about because of changes in the USSR and its satellites. 213.230.155.24 20:52, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
