SpongeBob's Truth or Square is the third movie of the TV series of SquarePants. It was formerly titled SpongeBob SquarePants: The Great Escape or SpongeBob's The Great Escape, but the title was later changed to this title. The movie is called Truth or Square, but the book calls it The Great Escape, its original name. There was a marathon from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM EST, which led to the movie. The DVD release of the TV movie will include 5 exclusive season 6 episodes, and the extended director's cut of the "Truth or Square" TV movie. ==Plot== |
The Krusty Krab celebrates its "eleventy seventh" (which would be 117 years) anniversary. SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs accidentally get locked in the freezer before they have a chance to celebrate. While finding their way through air shafts, they look back at some memorable moments in their lives. Meanwhile, Plankton finally finds the perfect opportunity to steal the Krabby Patty Secret formula. Some flashbacks that were shown were: footage of SpongeBob as a baby, the first Krusty Krab commercials, how SpongeBob first came across his pineapple house, SpongeBob and Sandy getting married (fake marriage), and Spongebob's first krabby patty when his mom was pregnant. |

==Patchy the Pirate Subplot== |
In a Patchy the Pirate subplot (which had not been shown since Atlantis Squarepantis in 2007), Patchy goes to Nickelodeon Studios in Burbank and is told to wait. While he waits the devil Potty tells him to call celebrities onto his show as guests. The angel Potty attempts to improvise him, but fails as Patchy decides to follow the Devil Potty's path. Throughout a few parts of the show he attempts calling numerous celebrities but they refused to go on because of something that they had to do (e.x. gig, tv show, etc.). Patchy tries to trap the celebrities in the Green Room but they after later, leave. P!nk sings We've Got Scurvy while they wait. After a while on his show (NOT in the Green Room) SpongeBob was unable to come. So, to save him, he sets sail and attempts to find SpongeBob. As Patchy arrives at Bikini Atoll (island near Bikini Bottom), a whale eats him. So, without SpongeBob, Patchy watches fake openings (including Squidward Tentacles & Patrick Star & Mister Krabs) and a 1920s cartoon of SpongeBob going to work. The whale sneezes Patchy out and concludes the subplot. |
it also shows a old commercial of the KK (krusty krab) |
