The phrase greater jihad has its origin in hadith and numerous hadiths are on the non-martial side of jihad Tags: Reverted Visual edit

This claim not only was unsubstantiated but ahistorical, the conquest of Mecca did not involve forcible conversion- and the BBC article never indicated that it did. I'm ok with discussing the concept of abrogation, but saying it was the classical view is again ahistorical. Al - Tabari & Al-Qurtubi would disagree. They both emphasised the context of the expedition of Tabuk. Tags: Reverted Visual edit
