  • Comment: Needs extensive cleanup and rewrite per encyclopedic standards. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 16:44, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Do not use emojis, also I can not find any WP:RS. Most references are WP:PSTS and rest are running mentions. User4edits (talk) 04:50, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: WP:ORGSIG: "If the individual organization has received no or very little notice from independent sources, then it is not notable simply because other individual organizations of its type are commonly notable or merely because it exists" User4edits (talk) 07:10, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: No WP:RS for an 1880 institution. Also please use WP:NPOV, not "They have sacrificed for us.". Lastly, please see WP:MOS. User4edits (talk) 16:08, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

Sacred Heart Church[1] is a Roman Catholic Church located in the city center, on a corner lot near Richmond Road and Mother Teresa Road.[2][3]

In 1895, the construction of the church was finished under the supervision of Fr. Jean-Marie Combret, who served as the Parish Priest during that period.[4]

The Church has a cemetery dedicated to Catholic priests who have faithfully served the Archdiocese for the past three centuries.[5][6]

History

The Sacred Heart Church[3] was established in the late 1870s by the Most Rev. August Chevalier MEP of the Missions Etrangeres de Paris. It started in a small bungalow on Victoria Road and later a new church was built next to the Diocesan Priest's Cemetery on Richmond Road.[7][8]

The church was officially dedicated and consecrated in December 1895 by Rev. Fr. Jean-Marie Combret MEP.[9][10][11]
