I would argue that the average diver does see the algorithm and not a table. I would think most recreational divers use the algorithm in a dive computer. Technical divers use the algorithm to make tables and know the difference between the two (too many software packages available to count anymore). Either way, this is an encyclopedia, we should be as correct as possible for the article name and use redirects for any others. Just my $0.02... ZHL and ZH-L

[edit]

The article uses both naming schemes but recommends the second. Both seem to be in use in computer manuals. Is one particularly preferred to the other for any reason? Perhaps update the article to be consistent and perhaps mention both schemes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Franzo (talkcontribs) 11:00, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Formulas

[edit]

I would say that giving a table with "a"- and "b"-coefficients without stating the formula where they are used (the linear relation between compartment partial pressure and minimal ambient pressure) is pretty useless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Atdotde (talkcontribs) 07:59, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
