Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by Cochranerossst

I am not certain that I am formating this properly:

  • Single pupose accounts: Both Abductive and Joey the Mango’s first actions as new users are to nominate articles for deletion. This is disruptive because virtually none of their deletion nominations have met the criteria for deletion.
  • Use of multiple alternate accounts are admited, but without giving the names of alternate accounts.
  • Abductive admits to using several accounts (see link).
  • Joey the Mango admits to using using several accounts (see link.
  • Checksum is required to determine the names of the mutiple alternative accounts being used by this SPA for the disruptive purpose of nominating articles for deletion.

Comments by accused parties    See Defending yourself against claims.
  • As I have stated when asked, I am not new to Wikipedia; sometimes, in order to stop procrastinating in real life, I scramble my password to enforce a wikibreak upon myself, I couple of times I have simply forgotten my password. Joey the Mango was my previous username on this account; I changed it at WP:CHU. Nominating articles for deletion is not disruptive. Sockpuppetry means that you use two accounts abusively, for example by notvoting twice in AfD discussions. This I have not done, since at present I only use this account. • This seems to be just a revenge filing by accounts up for sockpuppet investigation themselves. Any investigation into my actions -- either my edit history or IP access, etc. -- would easily rule out any sockpuppets of the above named editors... or anyone others for that matter. If anyone feels it is actually necessary, I would not object to a checkuser or other methods being used to quickly rule out the ridiculous accusation, but I'd also welcome it being closed as absurd and made in bad faith. Comments by other users
  • Comment by Beltline. Abductive is a SPA account. His first edit, on May 19, 2009, was to open an AfD nomination. Since then he has made over 130 WP:PROD nominations and over 50 AfD nominations. By my quick count, he has been successful in having only 13 articles deleted. That means that 93% of his nominations to have an article deleted have just been a waste of time. I think that excessive and unwarented (random?) nominations of articles for deletion IS disruptive. A checkuser is wrarented to expose who this user is. He seems to be working tag team with Dreamguy. • Comment by Wikid77. Just for the record, by 23 June 2009, User:Joey the Mango had only 1 logged edit, to page "User_talk:Abductive ‎ (←Blanked the page)" so there is no significant evidence of any harm at all. A total of 1 non-deleted edit (contributions=1) is hardly any danger to others, and certainly NOT evidence of spurious AfDs that get rejected. -Wikid77 (talk) 15:34, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to be a bad-faith nomination in retaliation for Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Azviz. Abductive and Joey the Mango are the same person but have not engaged in any form of abusive sockpuppetry. Requesting closure. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:38, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
