Lua error in Module:parameters at line 370: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "we said this katakana was derived from 仁, but other sources say it was derived from 二" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E.

Etymology
Simplified in the Heian period from the man'yōgana kanji 仁 or 二.
Katakana character
- The [ni] phoneme, typically in words of non-Japanese origin.
- The twenty-second character in the gojūon ordering of katakana. The previous character is ナ and the next character is ヌ. The equivalent hiragana character is に.
