Pokémon world locations |
Aether House (Japanese: エーテルハウス Aether House) is a location on Ula'ula Island in Alola, located on Route 15. It is the Aether Foundation's largest base on Alola's main islands, with one of its purposes being an orphanage for human children and Pokémon. Its headmaster is an Oranguru. Acerola is among the children who live here.
Geography
Much like every other facility owned or run by the Aether Foundation, Aether House features a predominantly white color scheme. The main foyer contains a reception desk which stands in front of a staff room the player cannot access, and four doors leading to other rooms, two of which can be accessed by the player. An Oranguru, nicknamed Headmaster (Japanese: エンチョー Principal), can be seen at the back of this room. The door to the left leads to a playroom with some shelves, toys and a TV; while the door to the right leads to a bedroom with a table, some bookshelves, two bunk beds, a Mimikyu, a Wimpod, and two Aether Foundation Employees. During the post-game, the Aether scientist in this room will give the player a Porygon.

Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon arc
The Aether House debuted in Shipwreck and "Oh, What Sharp Teeth You Have, Bruxish!". Sun and Lillie were taken there by Acerola after the latter found the two lying unconscious on a beach following a shipwreck. When Acerola learned of Sun's delivery mission of delivering a Mirage Berry to each of the guardian deities, she told him that in order to meet Tapu Bulu, he'd have to clear her trial first.
In Confusion and Monsters from Another World, Dexio and Sina met Sun at the Aether House, offering to pay him in exchange for finding the remaining Zygarde Cores and Cells from around Alola and collecting them into the Zygarde Cube, which he accepted.
In Adventure in the Dark Dimension, six months after Ultra Beasts invaded Poni Island, Lillie and Gladion resided at the Aether House. When Wicke and an Aether Foundation Employee told them that Lusamine was on Poni Island, Gladion wanted to go get her back himself, but Wicke refused to let him go due to his injuries. In Ray of Light!! Through the Crack in the Sky!, after informing Gladion that their father was still alive, Lillie headed to Mount Lanakila to meet Lusamine.
Trivia
- Grammatically, while referring to the location it should be just listed as "Aether House" without the word "the" coming before hand. However, Rotom Pokédex in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon only, as well as Hau in all four titles refer to it as "the Aether House".
