The Movie Commemoration VS Pack: Sea's Manaphy was first released on July 15, 2006 exclusively to the Pokémon Center stores in Japan, and was later distributed elsewhere on August 4, 2006. It features many Pokémon and characters that appeared in Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, such as Manaphy, Pokémon belonging to the Sea and Samiya Temple, and Pokémon belonging to the various characters present in the movie.
The VS Pack contains the typical additions as normal Half Deck: a rulebook, damage counters, status counters, and a custom coin. The Half Deck contains two Holofoil cards, Sea's Manaphy and Manaphy's Egg. It also includes four new Generation IV Pokémon to the Trading Card Game: Mantyke, Buizel, Chatot, and Manaphy, who is the primary focus of the pack. From June until August, these four Pokémon also received many promotional cards that were Owner's Pokémon belonging to the sea or the Samiya Temple.
This VS Pack is the last of its type as the tenth movie received the 10th Movie Commemoration Set as its promotional Trading Card Game release, instead of a Half Deck. The Sea's Manaphy deck is the only Movie Commemoration VS Pack to include only eleven instead of twelve Pokémon cards.
