- Motivation
IDs for films of German Early Cinema Database (Q27646609), a project of University of Cologne (Q54096). It contains data related to film supply, distribution, exhibition and reception in Germany between 1895 and 1926. Due to a meeting with filmportal.de (Q15706812) it would be very useful to have them to sync filmdatabases. Queryzo (talk) 21:17, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

- Comment If "Koeln" is interested, maybe you want to include the other elements as well. Given that there are quite a lot of them, maybe a single property could do for all of them.
--- Jura 13:09, 31 October 2016 (UTC)- @Jura1: You mean one property for films and persons like Filmportal ID (P2639)? Queryzo (talk) 21:32, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
- + company, role, viewing, etc.
--- Jura 22:58, 31 October 2016 (UTC)- I just asked Mr. Garncarz (mentioned at the website) for support via mail. Queryzo (talk) 09:47, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

- @Jura1: There are different tables for people, films, companies etc., see for example Urban Gad, Abenteuer eines Knaben and Messter (Film)Projektion, all with the ID 39. I'm in contact with Mr. Garncarz, but I think we need seperate properties. Queryzo (talk) 21:09, 16 November 2016 (UTC)
- No, it can be done as TV.com ID (P2638) or similar ones.
--- Jura 06:11, 17 November 2016 (UTC)- How? On Filmportal.de we have one single URL-Formatter, I can't see it here though. Queryzo (talk) 08:16, 17 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Jura1: How can this work? Queryzo (talk) 20:49, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
- Just like TV.com or P1258. It avoids doing 10 instead of 1 property.
--- Jura 10:38, 19 November 2016 (UTC)- @Jura1: Ah, now I see. But in this case, parts of the URL like "films/view/39" are not static. Mr. Garncarz just wrote to me, that he is about to find a new distributor for the website, so the URLs definitly will change, but the IDs won't. Queryzo (talk) 21:50, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- I see. Not ideal if we end up with 10.
--- Jura 15:14, 20 November 2016 (UTC)- 10 what? properties? I would say, we need 3: films, people and companies. Queryzo (talk) 19:59, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
