Motivation

Gale is a major publisher, and they aggregate biographical info across their publications and assign each person an ACID (Property name could be changed for clarity). If you click on one of the links, it's paywalled, but you can access any of them through The Wikipedia Library. Redirecting through the Wikipedia proxy leads to this example of James G. Moore (click to see what the biographical page looks like for those who have access). As another example, Wes Hildreth is 20595850+OR+20595849, and his page viewed through the Wikipedia Library proxy is: Hildreth, Edward Wesley, III – The preceding unsigned comment was added by BhamBoi (talk • contribs) at 19:47, October 21, 2023‎ (UTC).

Comment Your link for "James G. Moore" looks like it goes to somebody else ("Razi"?). Do we really want 2 numbers joined with "OR" as an identifier? Sorry, I copied the identifier line from the wrong example, that was Razi’s entry. Moore’s entry viewed through the proxy is here.

And about the dual-identifier point, I’ve only ever seen people have two, joined with OR in the URL, though it seems as if they would be two identifiers. BhamBoi (talk) 06:24, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Although this was already failed, I noticed that the formatter URL also works as https://go-gale-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/ps/paginate.do?tabID=Biographies&searchResultsType=SingleTab&qt=ACID~$1&searchType=PersonSearchForm&userGroupName=wikipedia&prodId=BIC as seen through the TWL proxy.
