Spelling with greek characters

I would like to know what is the orthography employed by those who write aromanian with greek letters, and most of all, why are there in use both ι and η for i and both ο and ω for o. [[1]] is one of the sources where I found this kind of spelling, the author saying that it is the Moscopole version, but I saw the use of all those character in even older documents.
