My name is James Alexander, I'm a 24 year old student finishing up at the University of Rochester in Rochester,NY. At some point I may spend more time on this user page and try to tell you a little more about me but in the meanwhile please feel free to ask any questions or give any advice you have as I'm more then willing to listen. I'm majoring in Economics with a Legal Studies and Accounting focus and have a major interest in Intellectual Property and Business Law. When I graduate (either December 09 or May 2010, if all goes well hopefully December 09) I plan on trying to find a position as a paralegal and starting night law school with those interests in mind. |

While I've been a lurker on Wikipedia for a very long time but I very rarely seek out something to edit. When I do edit it is usually because I have stumbled across an article I feel needs information or images that I either have or think I can acquire. Because of the amazing amount of vandalism that I see everyday on the encyclopedia I recently decided to spend time working on trying to revert and warn those who are doing it especially since I think at least a portion of people who add useless information to articles do so in good faith and hopefully when warned of the problem can become better contributers then I generally am :). Because of my interest in this I do have thoughts at some point in running for an admin position (I like administrative work trying to make sure things run well for everyone else... its somewhat fun) but will likely wait until I think I have some support in doing so and most likely after I've talked to other admins about it (I.E who knows how long THAT will be). |

If I revert someones contribution I will ALWAYS leave a comment. If you notice I do not please let me know because there is a very good chance I reverted it by accident and I want to know so that I can try and make sure it doesn't happen again. If you disagree with a change I made again please let me know and I promise to explain my reasoning and listen to your side of the story. |

As anyone knows me has seen my biggest focus is anti vandal/abuse. I assume good faith almost to a fault but I will go after anyone who is blatantly trying to vandalize any project (or another website for that matter) or ever worse attack a user. In that vein I am active in the [[m:SWMT]] (which monitors vandalism on wikis that do not have alot of users and/or admins) as well as generic cross wiki vandalism on other sites such as commons and here. |

Who am I?
