"Closer" is a 2008 song by American singer Ne-Yo. It is the leading single from his third studio album Year of the Gentleman. It topped the single charts in the United Kingdom and Scotland and made the top 20 in New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Finland, Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Slovakia. It received a Grammy nomination in 2009.
