According to the Quintesson Journal, the Quintessons enhanced primitive worlds such as Alaxuu with advanced technology that secretly produced heavy pollution that would result in chemical rains that destroyed the planet's native vegetation. Afterwards, the Quintessons would offer their "aid" by producing plant-o-bots for a price. The Quintesson Journal
