When Rosie O’Donnell was with Kelli Carpenter, they adopted three children together. Though she seemingly adored her kids, Chelsea reconnected with her biological mother. She went through a tough time and...

In a surprising turn of events during the 2024 presidential election, some fans of Taylor Swift have taken to writing her name on their ballots, sparking considerable backlash online.
While the pop star is not running for office and has publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, numerous Swifties are declaring their support for the singer instead of the official candidates, which include Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Jill Stein.
Many fans have shared their ballots on social media, expressing their excitement about voting for Swift. One first-time voter remarked, “I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any of the candidates presented on the ballot.
Thinking about all Taylor has done for the U.S. economy these last few years, I decided to #Vote for Miss Americana herself.”
Another enthusiastic supporter added, “I’m thrilled to finally vote because I can’t think of anyone more deserving. We should start a hashtag for this: #SwiftiesForPresidentTaylor.

Mehcad Brooks will play an “award-winning editor” who falls for Nicole Ari Parker’s character on “And Just Like That,” the “Law & Order” star recently told TheWrap.
“It’s like ‘When Harry Met Sally?,’ a very quintessential, New York romcom,” he said, referencing Rob Reiner’s romantic 1989 classic. “I love this kind of thing. There’s a lot of really funny interactions and boundary crossing with designer clothes on.”
Brooks, who plays Detective Jalen Shaw on “Law & Order,” explained that even though Parker’s character, the memorably named Lisa Todd Wexley, and his are already married to other people, they find an “undeniable attraction” that leads to “an acrobatic sort of dance” as they get closer.
Here’s more of TheWrap’s chat with Brooks:

The nation was taken aback when the Menendez brothers’ case surfaced in 1990. Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Monsters reignited the public interest yet again, diving into the case in a more dramatic light. This has created a divide in opinion with some advocating for their release, while others believe they should remain imprisoned.

As the debate continues, the series has cultivated a following that feels a connection to the brothers and the work they’ve done to help others within the prison system, potentially convincing more people that they deserve to be free.

Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba continues to receive the wrath of upset fans due to her critiques.
In particular, fans let her hear it after she delivered what some felt was a harsh review during Week 5’s Disney Night.
The Bachelor star, Joey Graziadei, and his dance partner, Jenna Johnson, performed the samba in costumes inspired by Tarzan.
They wowed the audience with their moves, set to a rendition of Trashin’ the Camp, originally performed by former The View host Rosie O’Donnell and singer Phil Collins.
During the routine, two DWTS judges visibly enjoyed the performance. Bruno Tonioli stood up to watch part of the routine, and Derek Hough noticeably bopped around to the performance in his seat.
While both delivered helpful critiques and praise that the audience seemed Ok with, Carrie Ann’s comments didn’t sit well with some.

Update, with video: Last night at the Alfred E. Smith Catholic charity dinner in New York, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rattled off a roster of grievances and talking points in the guise of jokes that even he didn’t think were particularly funny (he seemed to admit as much on Fox & Friends today), and one of his targets was ABC’s The View.

The family of Lyle and Erik Menendez held a press conference Wednesday to urge D.A. George Gascón to help free the brothers, who have served 34 years in prison for murdering their parents.
The brothers’ defense team has argued that new evidence shows they were victims of sexual abuse by their father, Jose Menendez.
Anamaria Baralt, a cousin of the men, argued that they were “victims of a culture that was not ready to listen.”
“Lyle and Erik deserve a chance to heal,” she said. “Our family deserves a chance to heal with them.”
Gascón is considering the new evidence, which includes a letter from Erik Menendez to another cousin, sent before the murders in which he relates his father’s abuse.
Roy Rossello, a member of the boy band Menudo, has also come forward to accuse Jose Menendez of sexually assaulting him when he was 13 or 14. The defense argues...

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has signaled he may support releasing Lyle and Erik Menendez from prison earlier than expected. The brothers have served over 30 years for the 1989 murders of their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez in their Beverly Hills home. Gascón said in a recent ABC News interview that based on the details, “I don’t think they deserve to be in prison until they die.”
This stance differs from his earlier cautious approach to the case. Just weeks ago, Gascón noted his duty to review the case thoroughly. However, newly revealed details about alleged long-term sexual abuse of the brothers by their father have led some to reconsider their convictions.
Letters from Erik describing such abuse in 1988 have been critical evidence in this discussion. Accusations against other victims of their father have also emerged. With changing perspectives on male assault survivors, these abuse claims warrant serious examination according to many people.

Despite his waffling press conference this month, the fate and freedom of the long-imprisoned Menendez brothers might already have been decided by the Los Angeles County District Attorney.

She is finally setting the record straight. Melania Trump wants everyone to know that her son Barron Trump felt quite bullied when there were rumors going around on the internet suggesting that he might have been autistic. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Melania Trump – Slams Rumors That Barron Trump Is Autistic
In her new book, ‘Melania,’ the former first lady makes it pretty clear that her one and only son is not autistic and that he was absolutely hurt by the rumors that had actually began thanks to Donald Trump’s former friend turned enemy, Rosie O’Donnell.
Back in 2016, Rosie sent out a tweet that Barron was autistic without providing any evidence that he was at the time.
Barron was only ten years old at the time and according to his mother Melania, it took a lot of time to repair the damage that was done to his self-confidence.

Former First Lady Melania Trump has finally spoken up in her upcoming memoir, Melania, over claims that her son, Barron Trump, is autistic, saying that they caused “irreparable damage.”
Back in November 2016, comedian Rosie O’Donnell tweeted a video in which she speculated that Barron might be autistic based on his physical and social behavior.
O’Donnell soon apologized and deleted the tweet after facing backlash, saying that the tweet “had nothing to do with” the former president.

Word on the street these days is that after over three decades in prison, the Menéndez brothers may be walking out as free men before the end of this year. A newly discovered evidence has given the brothers and their legal team new hope. However, supposing they do walk out of prison, what kind of people will they be walking out as?
What Will Happen To the Menéndez Brothers’ Multi-million Dollar Inheritance?
In 1996, Lyle and Erik Menéndez were sentenced to life in prison for the murders of their parents. At the time, the jury was convinced that the primary motive was to lay their hands on their father’s vast wealth.
Before they were arrested for the first time, the brothers had spent nearly a million dollars for travel, businesses and pleasure. However, the big cake was the amount they spent on attorneys trying to avoid jail time once the court case had kicked in.

Seven years before Netflix got into the Erik and Lyle Menendez business with Monsters and now its new docuseries that dropped Oct. 7, Hollywood was practically obsessed with the 1989 murders of Jose and Kitty Menéndez.
First there was the ABC documentary Truth and Lies: The Menendez Brothers – American Sons, American Murderers, followed by the Dick Wolf-produced Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders for and the telefilm Menendez: Blood Brothers for Lifetime. There was even an episode of Hln’s How it Really Happened With Hill Harper that featured a telephone interview with Lyle Menendez from prison with Chris Cuomo.
And then, there was A&e’s The Menendez Murders: Erik Tells All, a 2017 five-parter in which documentarian/EP Nancy Saslow interviewed the younger brother via telephone from the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. Besides the hours of audio with Erik Menendez — Saslow could only conduct...

Rosie O’Donnell received a letter from Lyle Menendez about 30 years ago after he saw her on “Larry King Live,” saying that she believed Erik’s claims that they were molested by their father.
“I was out to lunch with Barbara Walters and our publicist Cindy Berger, and I said, ‘Barbara, you’re not going to believe this, but guess who wrote to me—Lyle Menendez,” O’Donnell recalls. “Barbara said, ‘Ignore him, he’s a murderer. He’s very cunning.’”
Walters had previously interviewed Lyle and his brother Erik in prison for “20/20.”
O’Donnell followed her advice. But two years ago, when a documentary was released that featured new evidence that Lyle and Erik were molested by their father, O’Donnell spoke out in support of the siblings on social media and in the press. “I got a call from Lyle’s wife – I didn’t even know he had a...

Ryan Murphy believes Netflix’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story may have played a role in reaching a “move towards justice” in the brothers’ case. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the series director reacted to Thursday’s announcement that the case was being reevaluated.

The two weeks since Ryan Murphy released Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story haven’t exactly been uneventful.
In the wake of the nine-part series detailing and often dramatizing the 1989 killings of José and Kitty Menendez at the hands of their sons, the Menendez family cried foul about the portrayal, millions of Netflix subscribers watched and Kim Kardashian visited the California prison where the Menendez brothers are currently serving life sentences without the possibility of parole. On Thursday, however, things got really interesting. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced their case was under review for possible resentencing, a result of the accusations of abuse levied by the Menendez brothers against their late parents — accusations ignored in the trial leading to their convictions but bolstered by its depiction on Murphy’s Netflix drama and other key developments. (Also, it’s no small matter that the world’s most...

A resentencing hearing for Lyle and Erik Menendez has been scheduled for late next month, following the release of Netflix series “Monsters,” Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón announced on Thursday.
The possible outcomes include the brothers being released, receiving a shorter or even longer sentence or being granted a new trial. Gascón added that he is “keeping an open mind” about the case and that the “final decision will be mine.”
The Da said, “I don’t think there is any question” that the brothers murdered their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, in 1989. But, following renewed interest in their case due to Ryan Murphy’s limited series, his office has received “a lot of calls” calling for their release.

Before she was starring in movies, hosting her own talk show and publicly feuding with garbage people, Rosie O’Donnell began her career in show business as a stand-up comedian. In fact, back in the ‘80s, she won Star Search five times.
But as O’Donnell just recounted on David Duchovny’s Fail Better podcast, her first attempt at stand-up didn’t go so well — mainly because she ripped off another comedian’s entire act.
O’Donnell only became a comic after Richie Minervini, then the owner of The East Side Comedy Club on Long Island, approached her after witnessing the teenager get big laughs during a high school performance. (Note to any modern club owners out there: Randomly approaching minors following school productions probably wouldn’t fly anymore.) Minervini told O’Donnell: “I own a comedy club, I think you’d be a great stand-up comic.”

Since Sean “Diddy” Combs’s arrest and criminal changes, people have been digging up old clips. Many people, especially comedians, have made comments about him in the past. This shows that everyone seems to know about his misdeeds, even if no one really listened to them when they said it.
Rosie O’Donnell is one of those people, and a recent clip resurfaced with her joking about him serving possible jail time.
Rosie O’Donnell Video Clip Mocks Diddy Jail Probability
A video from several years ago showed Rosie O’Donnell talking to the girl group TLC around awards time. O’Donnell was congratulating TLC on their many Grammy nominations that year.

Roseanne said, “Lot of multiple nominees — multiple Grammy nominees — this year. Lauryn Hill’s got four, TLC’s got eight, and Sean Combs 5 to 10.” The girl group started laughing at the Diddy joke, and Rosie continued.

Kathy Griffin breaks her silence just once during the hourlong flight. “So far,” the redhead whispers, “it’s just a lot about food.”
Earbuds back in, she returns to the source of her frustration: hour 23 of Barbra Streisand’s 48-hour audiobook memoir. The comedian enters a semi-meditative state, eyes closed and left hand on Elliot Stabler, the vibrating chihuahua mutt who’s as much her emotional support animal as she is his. Griffin has a few reasons for wanting quiet on our June trip from Los Angeles to her San Jose tour stop, but the one that matters most right now is that she footed the bill for this chartered jet. Tom Hanks’ A League of Their Own character famously said, “There’s no crying in baseball,” but folks might make an exception today. A baseball park east of Los Angeles that has been a popular filming location for movies and TV shows was badly damaged in a fire overnight.
Along with the Penny Marshall-directed 1992 pic that starred Hanks, Geena Davis, Rosie O’Donnell, Madonna and Lori Petty, the park also has hosted film shoots for such features as the 1988 Charlie Sheen-John Cusack Black Sox movie Eight Men Out and the 1992 biopic The Babe starring John Goodman as Babe Ruth. It also has been used for numerous TV commercials, the city said.
The blaze was reported around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Jay Littleton Ball Park in Ontario. An Ontario Fire Department spokesperson told Key News Network that the fire was fully involved when the crews reached to the scene.

Kamala Harris leaves Chicago today with energy and enthusiasm that reached a fever pitch on the final night of the Democratic National Convention, something that would have sounded too-good-to-be-true just over a month ago.
Her speech was biographical, centrist and patriotic, with delegates waving small and large flags on the floor of the United Center. That followed other displays of patriotism throughout the evening, including the appearance of members of Congress who are veterans and the occasional chants of “USA! USA!”
“It was the most Republican Democratic Convention we have ever seen,” Ryan Wiggins, chief of staff of The Lincoln Project, the political action group founded by moderates and conservatives to counter Donald Trump. She compared the exuberance to the GOP convention in 1980 in Detroit, where Ronald Reagan was nominated.

Following swift backlash, Ann Coulter has deleted a post mocking Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz‘s 17-year-old son Gus, who has a non-verbal learning disorder (Nvld).
The teenager was previously praised by many, going viral for his tearful applause at the Minnesota governor’s speech during Wednesday’s night three of the Democratic National Convention, where Vice President Kamala Harris accepted the Democratic nomination with Tim as her running mate.
“Talk about weird …” wrote Coulter in the since-deleted post on X.
The conservative pundit later explained why she took down the post. “I took it down as soon as someone told me he’s [autistic], but it’s Democrats who go around calling everyone weird thinking it’s hilariously funny,” she wrote, seemingly referencing critics of Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, and his running mate J.D. Vance.

Past and present hosts of ABC’s “The View” found common ground on social media following the third night of the Democratic National Convention by slamming Ann Coulter’s mockery of Gus Walz, the 17-year-old son of vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. Gus, who has a non-verbal learning disorder, went viral for his tearful reactions to his father’s speech at the DNC. In a since-deleted post on X, Coulter criticized Gus by writing: “Talk about weird.”
“Jesus. What ass-wipes,” Ana Navarro wrote in an Instagram post that featured Coulter’s deleted comment. “Of course Republicans and Trumpers on social media taking shots at Gus Walz. You have to be a special kind of heart-less mutant to attack a 17 year-old special needs kid -not involved in politics- for the simple act of expressing love for his father.
“Gus Walz is neurodivergent. He has Adhd, anxiety, and a nonverbal learning disorder,...

Phil Donahue, the celebrated King of Daytime Talk who altered the direction of talk television as host of the syndicated “The Phil Donahue Show” and later the redubbed “Donahue” for nearly three decades, died Sunday evening (August 18) following a long and undisclosed illness. He was 88 and surrounded by family, including his wife of 44 years, the actor, producer, author and social activist Marlo Thomas.
From 1969 when his show was picked up for national syndication until leaving the air in 1996, Donahue presided as the unquestioned pioneer of a type of television discussion that for the first time incorporated studio audience interaction as an intrinsic part of the mix. That audience was predominantly packed with women whose opinions were taken seriously. Both “Phil Donahue” and “Donahue” were by design swathed in controversial, issue-driven topics. He was the first to give voice to gay rights activists, feminists and antiwar protestors as well as abortion rights advocates and opponents.

There are certain cultural touchstones of Philadelphia just like there are cultural touchstones to an M. Night Shyamalan movie. The city has its skyline, its accent, the Rocky steps. The filmmaker has his outrageous premises and horror twists. Wide Awake, Shyamalan’s second, pre-Sixth Sense movie, has almost none of...

Jane Fonda, Nick Offerman and more Hollywood figures voiced their support for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign during virtual fundraising events held on Monday night.
“I don’t recall anything like this where all of a sudden, it became exciting and hopeful and a total turnaround. And I know we all feel the excitement, but don’t you also feel the vast potential for the future that has opened up?” Fonda asked at a Zoom fundraising rally called “Elders for Kamala.” “It’s not just because the orange man is terrible, it’s because Kamala is the leader we need right now. She’s fierce, she’s smart, she’s experienced and she can beat him.”
She added, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling it in my body and my bones, we can do this.”
Meanwhile, Offerman attended the online fundraiser “Comics for Kamala,” where...

Has the popular Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? become too easy since its format changed?
The earliest versions of the game show featured non-celebrity contestants trying to advance up the game board and potentially leave as a million-dollar winner.
With the version that recently returned to ABC, pairs of celebrity contestants are trying to win their way to the million dollars, and any winnings they leave with go to charities they play for.
A recent episode featured actress Sophia Bush and comedian Alex Edelman as one pair and comedian Jeff Ross and Jimmy Kimmel’s Cousin Sal as the other.
During the episode, some fans called out the show based on what they felt were “depressingly easy” questions at the higher levels of the game.
That included a $250,000, which many viewers may or may not have known the answer for.

This January, “Password” presenter Keke Palmer broke new ground as the first Black woman to ever win an Emmy for hosting a game show. As the 30-year-old faces the challenge of defending her crown at September’s Creative Arts ceremony, she has the potential to make history once again as her category’s all-time youngest two-time champion.
The current Best Game Show Host lineup almost perfectly matches last year’s, with the only difference being the inclusion of Jane Lynch (“Weakest Link”) instead of the ineligible Mayim Bialik (“Jeopardy!”). The three men filling out the remaining slots are newly solo “Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings and three-time winners Steve Harvey (“Celebrity Family Feud”) and Pat Sajak (“Wheel of Fortune”).
In order to determine if anyone can stop Palmer from establishing a streak, let’s take a closer look at each nominee. Be sure to make your predictions in this and 30 other...
