Good Night, and Good Luck, the upcoming Broadway play penned by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, has released a new trailer with Clooney portraying famed journalist Edward R. Murrow.

George Clooney’s Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck will begin performances March 12, 2025, at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening date of April 3.

The Winter Garden venue will be available as of January, with the recently-announced closing of the Back the the Future musical.

Clooney announced his Broadway project last May. He’ll star at Edward R. Murrow in the stage adaptation of his 2005 Oscar-nominated film.

The stage play is co-written by Clooney and Grant Heslov, based on their screenplay for the film. David Cromer (The Band’s Visit) will direct. Producing will be Seaview, Sue Wagner, John Johnson, Jean Doumanian and Robert Fox.

George Clooney had some unfortunate news to share at the first press conference for Apple’s hotly anticipated action comedy Wolfs at the Venice Film Festival.

The Hollywood actor, seated beside co-star Brad Pitt, revealed that the film’s director Jon Watts would be missing the movie’s world premiere in Italy Sunday night because he caught Covid.

“He traveled all the way here, and then caught Covid, Clooney said.

Watt also was absent from the press conference, leaving Pitt and Clooney to speak on behalf of the movie.

Five actors — Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler and Saura Lightfoot-Leon — have joined the espionage thriller, which stars Michael Fassbender and is based on the acclaimed French series Le Bureau des Legendes.

The cast also includes Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, and Richard Gere.

Currently filming in London, The Agency centers on Martian (Fassbender), “a covert CIA agent who’s ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London station,” per the show’s logline. “When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.”

Reznik (Babylon) will play Coyote, an undercover CIA agent. Brooke (After Life, Children of Men) will play another CIA officer who goes by Grandpa.
