      He composed the music for the Pokemon anime while still working for Nintendo. When the anime became an unexpected hit, Nintendo told Tanaka he couldn't work on it anymore. With that he left the company and joined up with Creatures, another company affiliated with Pokemon. He's has been President of the company since 2000.
