- An adventurous photographer and a less-than-adventurous novelist search for a mysterious pearl in the Paradise of Fiji.
- Raja (Daebu Banerji) an orphan and Kajol (Nivedita Tiwari) from a rich family background are students at Dudley College in Mumbai. The college is heading towards the summer break and the Principal Mr Bhatia (Jalees Sherwani) announcers the popular annual Dancing and singing competition by selecting male and female students through a number matching system. Incidentally Raja and Kajols numbers are paired for the performance but Kajol hesitates. Raja decides not to participate after Kajol's hassitation but Kajols sophisticated father Ranveer Singh (Shaheed Khan) who also participated during his college days is hyped up about Kajol winning the traditional college gold medal. Raja hasn't been to college for days leaving very little time for Kajol for preparation. Meantime Kajol becomes anxious to make her father happy and finally skips class to find Raja who is helping his adopted father (Moti Seth) in his restaurant. Kajol managers to find Raja and persuades him for the competition with tears. They head towards preparation. Raja and Kajol make the headlines at the 2oth annual dancing competition with a superb performance. College breaks and time comes for separation. Raja and Kajol begin to realise the emptiness in each other's life. Separation makes Raja and Kajol's heart fonder.
