"Inspector Calzonzin" is a very low-brow movie--with lots of silly slapstick and ridiculous situations. However, it also is funny. So if you're in the mood for some goofy fun, it's a decent choice.
When the film begins, two guys are on the run and escape in a small plane. However, there's a bomb aboard and they're soon blown up-- luckily the plane isn't very high in the sky and they survive. The men are assumed by some to be messengers sent from God. Additionally, one is mistaken for a government inspector who is expected in town--and the leaders are worried they'll get in trouble because they've been looting the city. Additionally, another group are revolutionaries who want to kill this supposed inspector to send a message to everyone! As far as this stranger goes, he's thrilled as folks keep giving him bribes...and he's more than willing to taken them.
If you are looking for a serious political satire film, this isn't it. It's a bit like a Three Stooges film...really dopey and with very broad humor...but it will make you laugh.
