Over the course of the game, the protagonist may choose to pursue romantic relationships with selected teammates or non-playable characters; including those of the same gender as the protagonist.

These relationships will culminate in sexual scenes where naked characters are seen kissing and hugging, with their groin areas obscured.

Female upper-body nudity is visible during sexual scenes involving female characters.

The player-character encounters humanoid and animal-like aliens, robots and human enemies who must be defeated in order to progress through the main storyline.

The protagonist uses firearms such as automatic rifles, pistols and shotguns; melee weapons such as energy blades; and gadgets such as flamethrowers, ice beams and turrets to defeat waves of enemies.

In addition, the player-character is capable of using physical attacks such as punches, throws and telekinesis-like abilities that can push or pull enemies to outmaneuver them.

Violence contains some details of bloodshed where blood splattering is visible when enemies or teammates take damage during combat.

The game contains some utterances of the expletive "f**k", as well as swear words such as "shit", "bitch", "bastard", "hell" and "damn".

'Mass Effect: Andromeda is an action, third-person shooter that revolves around a pair of siblings, Scott and Sara Ryder, who are designated as Pathfinders a select group of individuals tasked with the mission of discovering new planets for the human species to colonize.
