The show started with banter between Sunil Grover who came dressed as Alia Bhatt much to Karan Johar’s dismay. He also teased Karan saying that he was the person with whom he always posted pictures on social media. Sunil told him he was the host of the evening and would steal the thunder. It was followed by performances from Neeti Mohan and Raftaar. The former sang Sau Aasman from Baar Baar Dekho while the latter performed on Dhakkad. Disha Patani won the Best Debut Female Award for MS Dhoni – The Untold Story. Harshvardhan Kapoor won it for Mirziya in the male category. The prizes were given by Aadar Jain and Anya Singh. It was followed by a dance performance by Sanam Johar, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh and Faisal Khan. Alia Bhatt and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seemed to enjoy the performances immensely. Zaira Wasim won the Best Most Entertaining Child Actor Award for Dangal. Big Zee Most Entertaining Sportsperson of the Year Award went to PV Sindhu. She was not present and expressed thanks through an AV. Kanika Kapoor won Best Singer Female Award while Amit Mishra won it for Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Udit Narayan won the 92.7FM Suhana Safar Legend Award. The prize was given by Prem Chopra. Udit and son Aditya sang Papa Kehte Hai on stage. Pritam won the Most Entertaining Song for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He also won the Most Entertaining Music Composer. Tiger Shroff got Most Entertaining Dancer Award from Saroj Khan for Beat Pe Booty and thanked her profusely. Most Entertaining TV actor (Fiction) was Ravi Dubey for Jamai Raja while Best Reality show was Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Naagin actress Mouni Roy won the Most Entertaining TV actress (Fiction) award. Sunny Leone was stunning as she danced on Laila O Laila and Let’s Swing from Dil Dhadakne Do. Sushant Singh Rajput, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor loudly cheered for her. Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Actor award for Pink in the Social film category while Sonam Kapoor won Best Actress for Neerja. Ram Madhvani took the award on her behalf. Udta Punjab won the Best Social Film award. The stunning Urvashi Rautela danced on Saara Zamana while KiaraAdvani grooved on Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast.

Vivek Dahiya put up an energetic performance with Surbhi Chandna and Rubina Dilaik. It was one of the best acts of the evening. Sunny Leone turned on the heat towards the end dancing on Tip Tip Barsa Pani while Salman Khan closed the ceremony. It was a memorable night.
