Saturday TV Ratings 12/2/23: Reindeer in Here Rates Higher Than Rudolph, Iowa/Michigan Big Ten Championship Game Dominates, SNL Hits New Low (UPDATED w/Analysis)

Ratings Analysis: 2022 Christmas special Reindeer in Here (0.43) impressed on CBS and was actually a hundredth higher than last year's debut (0.42). At 9, Robbie the Reindeer (0.22) shed almost half of the Reindeer in Here rating but was still a step ahead of the 10 p.m. 48 Hours (0.17, -0.01). Over on Fox, the Iowa/Michigan college football game (2.36) was a massive success for the network and topped the night. ABC's Louisville v. Florida State game (1.75) settled for a solid second. On NBC, Saturday Night Live (0.57) slipped to a new low despite having Emma Stone as host. Earlier in the night, NBC had Dateline reruns (0.16/0.18) and SNL Vintage (0.20). On the CW, a broadcast of 2002 movie Men in Black II (0.04) was 50% lower than the network's showing of the original Men in Black (0.08).
