Object history

Provenienz: Wahrscheinlich am 12. Juni 1934 bei Rudolph Lepke's Kunst-Auctions-Haus in Berlin unter Kat.-Nr. 283 versteigert; Sammlung der Grafen zu Lynar, Schloss Lindenau (Kr. Oberspreewald-Lausitz); nach dem 8. Mai 1945 infolge der Bodenreform zu den Dresdener Sammlungen; 1998 rückübereignet an die Alteigentümer; Verbleib als Nießbrauch in der Gemäldegalerie; 2012 für die Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister erworben

Im Rahmen der Bodenreform in der sowjetischen Besatzungszone wurden 1945/46 auch 1.155 sächsische Schlösser und Herrenhäuser enteignet. Ihre Einrichtungs- und Kunstgegenstände wurden verkauft oder an Museen übergeben ("Schlossbergung"). Auf der Rechtsgrundlage des 1994 in Kraft getretenen Ausgleichsleistungsgesetzes konnten seitens der Gemäldegalerie bereits über 1.000 Gemälde an die Alteigentümer bzw. deren Erben oder Rechtsnachfolger rückübertragen werden.
